Dateline NBC Investigates Henning Case
December 12, 2003

Dateline NBC is dedicating most of its hour-long program to the
Linda Henning murder case this evening. Subscribers to this Web
site's newsletter were alerted of this development in the following December 4 bulletin (I've been out of town and unable to update
the Web site until today):

(New York) -- Dateline NBC is devoting an entire hour to the Girly Chew Hossencofft murder case Friday, December 12.

The airdate confirmation comes from Dateline NBC's producer Keris Salmon. Salmon produced the story which primarily focuses on the role of convicted murderer Linda Henning. The story is expected to address the evidence against Henning and, ultimately, address issues concerning the fairness of her trial and whether or not she was actually involved in the murder.

Investigative journalist Mark Horner will be among the people interviewed in Dateline's NBC's story.

Dateline NBC correspondent Keith Morrison is the reporter.

Tonight's edition of Dateline NBC also includes interviews with Hossencofft's half-brother, Hossencofft's junior varsity football
coach (regarding a head injury), seven members of the Henning jury, Henning defense attorney Gary Mitchell and prosecutor Paul Spiers.

In Albuquerque, Dateline NBC airs at 7 p.m. The time varies at
different locations around the country. Please check your local
listings.

(New York) What fascinated viewers, anchors and legal experts the first time around is destined for an encore on Court TV next week. Court TV producer Elizabeth Queren said the network plans to showcase Linda Henning's murder trial for five consecutive days beginning Monday, October 27, 2003.

The trial is scheduled to air from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST) each day (that's 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in New Mexico).

Court TV originally aired the trial over five days in December 2002.
This week's coverage is expected to include a live telephone interview with investigative journalist Mark Horner. That interview is tentatively scheduled for the morning of Thursday, October 30, 2003.
