The child a mother never knew

The Demetri Hossencofft Story

December 11, 2002

(Albuquerque) As the Girly Chew Hossencofft story continues to receive a national television audience on Court TV this week, it's becoming quite clear to me that many people want to learn more about Diazien Hossencofft's young son, Demetri. Several of you have sent me e-mails with your inquiries about the child. Others have posted their questions and concerns regarding Demetri on message boards located here and at courttv.com. While some information about Demetri is already available on this site, I am now releasing a never-before seen FBI document that really sheds light on Demetri's earliest history.

Contrary to a well-known tale that Demetri was genetically manufactured inside a tiny dish by "Dr. Hossencofft", the boy actually came about the old-fashioned way. And, yes, Diazien Hossencofft did play a pivotal part.

The true story, though, includes the classic themes of deception and fraud so well associated with Hossencofft.

The three page FBI document is a summary of an interview conducted in Oregon with Demetri's biological mother in September of 1999. The name Demetri emerges only after Hossencofft apparently smuggled his son into the United States when the child was less than a month old.

Many of you have expressed your dismay that a mother could actually part with her newborn. Now, you're about to find out why the biological mother did so.

To protect the identity of the biological mother, I have blacked-out her name and other personal information from the document.

Here, now, are links to each page of the FBI document (note: if browsing with Internet Explorer, each page of the document below will likely "shrink to fit" so that the entire page can be seen at once on your monitor. After image loads, hold your cursor over the document. A small square should soon appear at lower right of image. Click on that square and it will enlarge the document so that it's much easier to read...Also, you will need to use your browser's "back" button to return to this page).

*If you wish to learn even more about Demetri, you can simply enter his name into the search engine on this page. Because I did not use his name in some early reports, you can also conduct searches with the words "child" and "son" for additional results.

**I have several photos of Demetri. You can see two of them here. I've blurred his face in these photos so that he cannot be easily recognized.
